Profile

Patrick Murphy earned his Cand. philol. degree in English and pedagogy studies at the University of Oslo. He has teaching experience from Østerås skole, Bærum (lower secondary). He also has experience teaching in high school (Kristen vidergående skole, Nordland).

He began working in teacher training at Hedmark university college in 1995, and has been employed at Nesna University College/Nord University since 1997.

In 2023, he received the Accredited Teacher Distinction from Nord University (merittert underviser).

Patrick teaches most subjects in English for the teacher training programme, but methodology and subject didactics are closest to his heart.

He acts a supervisor for FoU projects and master’s theses, including those within the subjects of mathematics and Norwegian. 

He has a special interest for and competence in the creation and use of learning paths in teaching serving as additional teaching between gatherings.
