Students Praise English at Nord!

The national student survey (Studiebarometer) was published on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, and the Faculty of Education and Arts performed especially well overall (you can read the Dean’s discussion of the results here). In particular, the Dean highlights the scores achieved by the Master of Education at levels 1-7 in Bodø and Levanger and 5-10 in Levanger and Nesna – to which staff in the Department of English contribute. All of these programmes exceeded scores of 4 out of 5.

The Bachelor of English also performed extremely well, scoring 4.5 out of 5 overall. This makes the BAENG programme the highest rated among students in the whole of Norway. This is a title that the Bachelor of English at Nord University has now held for four years in a row. Details of what has been consistently the highest rated Bachelor of English programme in Norway – which offers three full years of instruction in English – can be found here and here.

The pandemic has made this a challenging year for staff and students alike. Everyone in the Department of English is thankful for the feedback that students have provided and the efforts they have made amid difficult conditions this year. Well done to everyone involved!
