Brijesh Singh Yadav

I did my Ph.D. on the topic “Development and designing of DNA microarray chip for Viral discovery and diagnosis” from Indian Veterinary Research Institute and H.N.B.Garhwal University, India. After finishing my Ph.D. I moved to do my Postdoc at Tel Aviv University, Israel, where my research focused on transcriptomic and metabolomic responses of Arabidopsis thaliana to different environmental stress.

Now, I am interested to understand how organisms cope with varying stress conditions at the molecular level and what important genetic mechanisms are involved in stress responses. The stress tolerance is one of the key traits affecting species’ survival and distribution.

Recently, I joined the Landscape Genomics Group Nord University. I am planning to do research on adaptation in three-spined stickleback under heavy metal stress. The main goal of this work is to analyse the fish physiology, structural and functional variation in populations for adaptation and ecological success.
